In today’s challenging economic times, we work with our clients on realistic and fundable design solutions that meets their transportation needs.
We have direct experience on all forms of project delivery methods including public-private partnerships, construction manager at risk and design-build. We provide transportation engineering services for federal, state and local agencies and private entities. Above all, we partner with our clients to establish clear, achievable objectives to ensure that all planning, design and construction activities are carefully managed.
Our highly experienced Roadway Group provides engineering planning and design services on projects ranging from small arterial/rural roadway to large multi-directional traffic interchanges.
Our CAD designers have extensive knowledge in design software such as SelectCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and MicroStation to perform various civil engineering tasks such as generating horizontal and vertical alignments, digital terrain models (DTMs) for earthwork analysis and evaluating horizontal sight distance in 3D.
AZTEC’s Traffic Group has experience working on a variety of projects including corridor improvement studies, design concept reports, final traffic signal and signing and marking designs, maintenance of traffic plans, roadway lighting, and a variety of traffic impact analyses and evaluations.
AZTEC conducts development project-related traffic modeling, traffic impact assessments, and engineering analyses to evaluate potential impacts to surrounding roadway networks, determine if/when stop controls or traffic signal installations are necessary, and to establish traffic signal phasing and timing.
Our traffic modeling suite includes the latest versions of HCS, Synchro, AGI and Vissim.
Our Structures Group brings extensive experience in the analysis and design of prestressed and conventionally reinforced concrete bridges, bridge rehabilitation and replacement, bridge substructures/foundations, bridge inspection, retaining/noise walls, special underpass structures, box culverts and complex bridge widenings. In addition, our experience encompasses all aspects of design including project assessment reports, bridge selection reports, bridge design, bridge load ratings, bridge inspections, wall selection reports, retaining and sound wall design, box culvert and equipment underpass design, miscellaneous drainage structure design, light pole and foundation design, and solar panel mounting structures and foundations.
AZTEC’s Drainage Group provides full service engineering services for surface water analysis, design, treatment and management.
Our design and analysis experience includes: watershed hydrology, floodplain analysis and mapping, roadway drainage design, storm drain collection and conveyance systems, open channel collection and conveyance systems, retention and detention basins, water quality basins, surface water treatment and site civil design of grading and drainage improvements.
We routinely prepare plans, specifications and cost estimates for roadways, freeways, site developments and flood control projects.
AZTEC understands the design, coordination, protection and relocation of utilities are critical to the success of any project.
From large urban freeway projects to municipal utility projects to commercial developments, we are continually able to effectively design and coordinate with all utilities and municipalities within a given market, state and/or municipality.
