Job Description

We are currently seeking resumes from qualified Civil Engineers for our Phoenix office. The position will be providing Civil Engineering and related support to the Energy Group for their Solar Photovoltaic projects. Environmental Planner II – Job Description

We are seeking resumes from mid-level Environmental Planners for our Bloomington, Indiana office. The primary job purpose is to provide infrastructure project proponents assistance in ensuring project compliance with local, state, federal, and other environmental laws, regulations, and policies.

This role will provide administrative support for multiple team members in a fast-paced environment focusing on purchasing, fleet, facilities, travel coordination, and front desk responsibilities.

At the direction of the Senior Office Administrator, the Office Administrator will perform the following duties:

    • Purchasing:
      • Research and purchase office equipment, furniture, services, and supplies.
      • Organize, inventory, and restock supplies.

Project Engineer – Job Description

We are currently seeking resumes from qualified Drainage Project Engineers for our Phoenix, Arizona office and/or our Irvine, California office. The successful candidate will be a task leader for drainage related tasks on projects for state and local municipalities. This is an opportunity for a motivated professional to join a growing department and to mentor less experienced staff and work directly with clients. The primary role is to perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design of street and highway drainage facilities including but not limited to storm drain systems, culverts, retention/detention basins, ditches and channels. Successful applicant will have experience in preparing and supervising final design tasks including plans, specifications and cost estimates. Responsibilities will also include marketing local agencies, design criteria compliance, quality control for transportation and public works drainage.

Duties:

  • Responsible for completion of drainage engineering project elements such as reports, designs, specifications and plans.
  • Provides technical guidance to less experienced Engineers/EIT’s.
  • Works closely with other disciplines and multi-discipline projects.
  • Conducts design and constructability reviews of plans.
  • Provides support for final design review and quality assurance/control.
  • Coordinates design development and assists in providing technical direction.
  • Provides technical expertise in project aspects.
  • Works in collaboration with other offices within the company.
  • Work independently and supervise others to prepare final design plans and specifications, perform advanced hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, write and assemble drainage reports
  • Experience working in a team environment is very important
  • Should have the ability to take and to give design direction depending upon role on a given project
  • Client marketing and preparation of proposals with assistance will be significant in this position

Project Engineer – Required Skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5-15 years relevant experience
  • Professional engineering license (PE) in Arizona or California; or ability to receive reciprocity within 6 months
  • Integrity and Highly Motivated
  • Working knowledge of standard hydraulic and hydrology software (i.e. InRoads Storm and Sanitary, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), FLO-2D, HY-8, QGIS, StormCAD, SWMM)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microstation. AutoCAD.
  • River mechanics, erosion and scour calculations and sediment transport training/experience a plus
  • Experience using Project Wise or other file management/file sharing software is a pluS

Design municipal and state projects for streets/highways/freeways involving roadway, drainage, utilities, and traffic engineering. Engineering-In-Training – Required Skills:

Survey Instrument Person- Job Description

We are currently seeking resumes from qualified Survey Instrument Operators for our Phoenix, Arizona office to assist Party Chief in performing various survey field tasks.

Successful candidate must be able to set-up and operate survey equipment, including GPS, total-station, data-collector and level. Must have the ability to work long hours in all seasons and perform physical activities such as carrying survey equipment and pounding stakes.

Survey Instrument Person- Required Skills:

Job Description:

We are currently seeking resumes from qualified Transportation Project Engineers to work within our Traffic group for our Irvine, CA office. The role will be to design and manage municipal and state traffic engineering projects for streets/highways/freeways. Perform traffic analysis, studies and preliminary engineering, transportation planning, and develop final design plans for traffic signals, ITS, lighting, signing, pavement marking, traffic handling and construction sequencing. Provide and/or take direction to/from staff. This position performs a full range of professional transportation engineering assignments in a full-functioning capacity. Considerable independent judgment is required to carry out assignments that have significant impact on services or programs. Guidelines may be available, however they may require adaptation or interpretation to determine appropriate courses of action.

Duties:

  • Apply broad understanding of civil engineering and other fields to reach innovative and interdependent solutions
  • Design of TH/MOT, signing & marking, signals, lighting, ITS and all related documentation necessary for construction of plans
  • Conduct traffic analysis, safety audits, traffic impact studies, traffic signal timing, traffic signal design and calculations forming the basis of design recommendations
  • Generate clear and concise technical reports summarizing analysis findings, description of the issues, and recommendations with supporting rationale
  • Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications and reports
  • Prepares and checks plans, calculations, cost estimates and recommendations
  • Experience speaking to the public and interacting with local and state agencies is preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum California P.E. certification
  • Other state PE certifications is a plus, including California T.E. certification
  • Minimum seven years of experience with at least three years in Southern California
  • Local Southern California experience and clients
  • Caltrans, Orange County and/or Municipal experience
  • Proven knowledge and skills in both Microstation and AutoCAD
  • Preferred candidates will have skills using traffic modeling software: Vissim, Synchro, and AGI32 (lighting). Knowledge of roadway modeling software a plus: Civil 3D and InRoads
  • PTOE preferred but not required
  • Marketing experience is a plus

Utility Locator – Job Description

We are currently seeking resumes from qualified Utility Locators (Potholing) for our Irvine, California office. The individual will need to perform field labor and minor maintenance tasks.  Field labor includes performing vacuum excavation and utility designation tasks. These tasks include operation excavation equipment, documenting finds in the field and various office tasks.

Duties:

  • Drives Equipment trucks
  • Operates Vacuum Excavation equipment and tools
  • Fills out field forms and daily work logs
  • Performs minor maintenance on tools and equipment

Utility Locator – Required Skills:

  • Entry-level position, one (1) year of Subsurface Utility Engineering experience is preferred
  • Basic computer skills, which includes MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Be familiar with electronic utility locating techniques and equipment
  • Be able to pass a drug screening and background check
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Ability to travel to multiple work sites and occasional out-of-town travel
