This project was located adjacent to the Peoria Sports Complex and included 83^rd Avenue from Skunk Creek Wash to Bell Road and Paradise Lane from 83^rd Avenue to 75^th Avenue. The goal of the project was to develop a comprehensive program that transformed the area into a pedestrian environment. Elements of the project included developing pedestrian amenities such as enhanced sidewalks, shade, and increased pedestrian spaces; roadway options that included lane dieting and potential roundabouts; an overall signage program for pedestrians and vehicular traffic; and a lighting study for the District. AZTEC was responsible for the overall management and coordination of the project and development of landscape, pedestrian amenities, and roadway concepts.
