Figueras-Perpignan High-Speed Line

Known as the “International Section” for providing connections between the French city of Perpignan and the Spanish town of Figueres, this project involved 29.5 miles of double track. Our team provided lead consultant services for the construction supervision and operations for the concessionaire. This high speed line was designed to a speed of 200 mph and carries passengers and freight daily with many areas traversing through the Pyrenees Mountains. The project also included 11 viaducts totaling 2.2 miles in length. Opening of this link has reduced journey times between Spain and France by as much as an hour, providing safer and more efficient transit options for travelers.
