
PHOENIX (April 10, 2025) – AZTEC Engineering Group, Inc. (AZTEC), a wholly owned subsidiary of TYPSA Group, recently welcomed Tony Elley, PLS, CFedS as Field Services Practice Leader/Vice President. In addition, Adam Mueller, PLS joined as the Arizona Survey Group Leader/Associate Vice President.

Tony Elley – Field Services Practice Leader/Vice President
With 33 years of diverse land surveying experience in the Southwest, Tony Elley brings a wealth of expertise in cadastral and boundary surveying, right-of-way surveys, ALTA surveys, and GPS control networks. As a Registered Land Surveyor in Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada, as well as a Certified Federal Surveyor, he has extensive experience collaborating with federal and tribal agencies.
“I am very grateful to be a part of the AZTEC team and to have the opportunity to contribute to a very successful organization. I know that the team of professionals here can provide valuable services to our collective communities,” said Tony Elley.
In his new role, Tony will lead AZTEC’s surveying and subsurface utility engineering (SUE)/potholing teams across multiple offices, overseeing field operations, data reduction, parcel boundary calculations, and final drafting. His leadership will further strengthen AZTEC’s commitment to precision, innovation, and excellence in surveying and geospatial services.
Adam Mueller – Arizona Survey Group Leader/Associate Vice President
Adam Mueller brings over 20 years of experience in surveying services supporting civil engineering projects throughout the Southwest. In his role, Adam will oversee survey operations, manage field crews and office staff, and ensure seamless project execution.
“I’m excited to return to AZTEC where my career began so many years ago and take on my new role as the Arizona Survey Group Leader. I can’t wait to expand on the work being done now and integrate modern technology to build the department into the future.” said Adam Mueller.
Adam will work closely with Tony to help drive the strategic growth of AZTEC’s survey team. Beyond his technical expertise, Adam is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of surveyors, fostering growth and excellence within the profession.
