We are seeking resumes from motivated and qualified environmental professionals to fill our position as the Environmental Division Manager in our Santa Ana, California office location. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the environmental practice in California.

 

The candidate should have documented experience successfully preparing and managing both CEQA and NEPA documents for transportation, railway, and energy projects in Californian involving agencies such as Caltrans, FHWA, FTA, FRA, and Regional/COGs. This position performs a full range of professional transportation engineering assignments in a full-functioning capacity as part of the Traffic Discipline Group. Considerable independent judgment is required to carry out assignments that have significant impact on services or programs.

Specific duties will include:

    • Ensuring the completion of work based on project schedules.
    • Preparation and checking of design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, specifications and project plans. Guidelines may be available, but require adaptation or interpretation to determine appropriate courses of action.
    • Field assessment and inspection of structures and facilities.
    • Traffic design, coordination, CAD drafting and miscellaneous other engineering tasks.
    • Duties may also include marketing support on graphics or text related to upcoming projects.

Required Skills:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor in Civil Engineer
    • Holds an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate
    • Minimum two (2) years of experience
    • Experience with CAD standard drafting techniques, terminology and applications
    • Must have solid skills in planning, scheduling, organizing, problem solving, and decision making
    • ProjectWise experience is a plus
    • Experience with MicroStation. AutoCAD experience is a plus
    • InRoads and Civil 3D experience a plus
    • Multi discipline engineering experience is a plus
